How it started
From an early signal in the classroom to the decision to give families clarity and footing sooner.
The story of MindNavigator begins with Glenn Bosch, father of an energetic and creative daughter. Life seemed to be going its course, until an attentive teacher asked a question. From her own experience with ADHD, she recognized certain patterns in Glenn's daughter's behavior.
That question set everything in motion. As concerned parents, Glenn and his partner immediately got to work.
“Have you ever had her tested for ADHD?”
They were confronted with a reality that many families know: a long, complicated and opaque care pathway. Months of waiting for a first appointment with a child psychologist, followed by a period of uncertainty before clarity came.
Frustrated by the complexity, Glenn reached out to his good friend, Rob van der Linden. Glenn knew Rob had the ADHD label himself, but as often happens, it had never been a deep conversation topic. Now it was. Rob confirmed the frustrating landscape and shared his own experiences as someone with lived experience.
There was a clear gap between “knowing nothing” and a “formal diagnosis”. A place where families could get started right away, without waiting for months.
The question that clarified everything: Why doesn't there exist an accessible, interactive platform where parents and children can start discovering, learning and understanding themselves?
That made the direction clear: a first step that helps families understand what’s going on, and prepares them for better conversations with school or care.
The Birth of MindNavigator
This had to be different. With their combined background in IT and marketing, Glenn and Rob decided to join forces. They drew up a plan with one clear goal:
To use 21st century technology to build a platform that supports parents and children, provides insight and makes the first steps on the path of neurodiversity simpler and clearer.
